To honor outstanding achievements and valuable cooperations, BMW regularly presents trophies to international guests at a prestigious gala event. The Excellence in Sales Award recognizes particularly successful dealers, while the Supplier Innovation Award honors the most innovative suppliers.
The challenge for our Product Studio was to capture both elegance and glamour, as well as technology and precision, in a trophy that embodies these respective values.
During 3D development, we refined the interplay of volumes, joints and surface transitions, considering how the design reads dynamic even at rest. Each refinement sharpened the character, bringing clarity and coherence to the overall forms.
The trophy was developed for the best of the best. It’s an hommage to the passion and performance of the innovative companies who create game changing solutions. We formed those values into a sophisticated Award Trophy.
In addition to the trophies milled from aluminum, acrylic versions with laser-engraved designs were also presented to event participants. Although smaller in size, these versions are characterized by the same precision and quality and reflect the values of innovation.
The diversity of the nominees and their international backgrounds was translated into an equally multifaceted form for the Excellence in Sales Awards. The vision was brought to life in a 3D model with automotive-grade standards for design and surface quality.
Overall, the trophy is characterized by a harmonious balance of calm yet bold surfacing and captivating details. The overall design unmistakably embodies elegance and dynamism.
