From collaborative arms to humanoid robots, robotics challenges how we imagine our relationship with machines. Our work with FESTO explores this evolving landscape through a series of Cobot designs. In this cooperation we gave pioneering technology a distinct identity — precise, confident and approachable.
How should a robot look when it works alongside us? Together with FESTO, we explored the balance between technical capability and human familiarity. Articulated volumes, balanced proportions and carefully placed details became a visual language that communicates precision while giving each concept its own character.
During design development, we refined the interplay of volumes, joints and surface transitions, considering how the design reads both at rest and in motion. The precision of the robotics became our benchmark for the surfaces themselves. Each refinement sharpened the character, bringing clarity and coherence to the overall form.
Across experimental prototypes and public demonstrators, our collaboration with FESTO gave emerging robotics a tangible presence. Design helped communicate the ambition behind each project, turning complex technology into something people could relate to. The result: a compelling glimpse of a future in which humans and robots work more closely together.
